The format for Top Court Camps is based on the same philosophy and principles of "motor learning" that is used during in collegiate programs. In a nutshell, motor learning suggests that a skill is best developed within the context of how that skill would be executed in an actual game.
Demonstrations of basic technical skills are approached from a "whole skill" point of view incorporating simple keys that help players execute those skills effectively.Practice drills are organized to allow for maximum repetitions in game-like situations guided by pertinent feedback from coaches – for anything from beginning technical concepts to advanced offensive and defensive team strategy. Our camp coaches and directors are familiar with the philosophy and principles of motor learning. Our campers enjoy the fast paced and competitive nature of the camps.
As they work hard, they learn a great deal, grow in confidence, and have
a lot of fun.
What people have to say about Top Court Camps:
"Nearly
all of these coaches are current or former collegiate coaches and players that I
have worked closely with and are experienced instructors and skilled at
working with young people."
~Tom Peterson - TCC Coach
